I love small paintings. They are like a little special piece of jewelry to cherish, and there is always a place for them. I have never done one of my abstracted landscapes in neutral tones, and I love how it came out. It has a very calming feel to it. I highlighted certain areas with gold leaf paint, and it is really set-off from the grey tones.
